Yang Fire (丙)

丙 is not a bonfire and not a candle — it is the sun. Yang Fire in its most open form: light that doesn't choose whom to warm. You notice it in yourself — you walk into a room and something in it shifts, the temperature of the conversation rises. You are visible from far away, and not because you try to be, but because that's how your core is built: to radiate outward, not to hoard inward.

This is where your real strength comes from — generosity and the ability to ignite others. You give warmth not by calculation, but because you are physically uncomfortable around anything cold, sluggish, lifeless. People near you start believing in things they didn't believe in before they met you; you pull them out of the shadows by the mere fact of your presence. It's a rare type — to be a source, not a reflection.

But the sun has a price, and it's worth naming plainly. Light that pours in all directions without pause burns out the one it pours from. Fire doesn't know how to smolder at half strength — it either blazes or goes out, and you know both states: weeks at the peak and drops into the void, when there's nothing left to warm anyone with. There is a second shadow too — being unnoticed is almost unbearable for you. When your light meets no response, pride is quick to whisper: shine brighter, push harder, take up the whole sky. That's how a domineering streak is born — one you don't like in yourself, but which in the moment feels like the only way out.

The maturity of Yang Fire is not in burning constantly, but in learning the sunset. The sun is precious partly because it goes below the horizon and lets the earth cool. Your task is not to be noticed at any cost, but to choose what and whom to illuminate — and to allow yourself to dim without counting it as defeat.
