Yang Water (壬)

Yang Water is not a brook and not a pond, but big water: the ocean, a river in full flood, the deluge after a downpour. A Day Master like this carries scale and motion. You don't stand still by nature — you're pulled outward, toward the horizon, toward what hasn't been explored yet. Where someone else sees an obstacle, you look for the way around: water doesn't argue with the rock, it flows past it and reaches the sea anyway. Hence your resourcefulness — you solve problems not with force, but with a channel.

Your strength is capacity. The ocean takes everything in: people, ideas, contradictions, other people's fates. You can hold many different things in your head at once without splitting apart. Seeing the whole picture comes easily to you — connections between distant things, strategy where others bog down in details. Around you, people feel a sense of open space, as if the walls suddenly moved apart.

But big water knows no shores on its own — they have to be built. Your shadow is restlessness and scatter: too many currents at once, and not one carried to its mouth. You can start ten things and spread yourself between them, trading depth for width. And one more thing: water washes away boundaries — not only your own, but other people's. It's easy to pull someone in deeper than they were ready to go, or to dissolve into someone else's project until you lose yourself.

Your task is not to tame the flow — you can't lock up an ocean. It's to give the water a channel: one direction where your whole mass works toward depth, instead of splashing itself out across the shallows.
