Gate 10 — Behavior of the Self
Loyalty to your own nature — that's what stands behind this Gate. Not a declaration, not a belief, but living behavior: how a person walks, speaks, chooses, refuses.
Gate 10 sits in the G Center — the place where identity forms and life's direction is set. Its energy concerns one thing: how much a person is able to live as their real self in each specific moment. Not "working on yourself," not "becoming the best version" — simply being who you already are. It sounds simple, but in practice it takes considerable inner steadiness.
The carrier of this Gate exerts a strange, almost imperceptible influence on the people around them. When they live in accordance with their nature, people nearby start to feel permission to be themselves. Not because the carrier explains or persuades anything. But because their presence in itself is an example that this is possible.
The gift here is precise: authenticity as behavior, not as a concept.
The shadow side shows up in two ways. The first — when a person starts adjusting their behavior to other people's expectations, losing contact with what is natural for them. Gradually this turns into fatigue and the feeling of living someone else's life. The second path is the opposite: self-expression becomes self-centeredness. Self-love shifts into a place where there's no room left for others, and instead of inspiration — alienation.
What matters for the carrier of this Gate to understand is one thing: their task is not to display themselves but to live themselves. The difference between the two is the difference between light and a spotlight.
