Sun in Capricorn

Sun in Capricorn means you find yourself through responsibility and lasting results: what matters to you is what has been done. In a birth chart the Sun is the core of your personality and your will. Capricorn is an earth sign ruled by Saturn, the planet of time and order. It opens winter, and astrologers call the signs that begin a season cardinal. Your will here obeys a goal and a deadline, and it shows itself as long, steady effort without flare-ups.

Earth gives a sober reckoning of time and resources. Saturn adds discipline and an early sense of duty, so seriousness can be noticeable even in childhood. A cardinal sign channels this into a special kind of initiative: to build a chain of steps towards a goal and work through it, even when the reward comes slowly. The strength of this placement is strategic patience and reliability, which let you see long projects through to the end. The price is a high inner bar and a habit of measuring yourself by achievements. Until the goal is reached, rest and feelings get postponed, and vulnerability seems like a weakness that must not be shown.

The difficulty for Capricorn is reducing yourself to a job title and status. Your worth starts to depend on outward success, and strictness with yourself turns into an endless "not enough yet", like running up a staircase that has no top step. Dignity does not have to wait for results. Rest might go into your calendar as firmly as a meeting, never moved for the sake of work, and at least once a week you might ask for help where you usually manage alone.
