Sun in Leo

Sun in Leo means it is natural for you to be seen: you recognise yourself when you express yourself and get a response. In a birth chart the Sun is the core of your personality and your will. Leo is a fire sign, and it is ruled by the Sun itself. This is the Sun's domicile, the sign where a planet is at home and works without interference. So there is almost no gap for you between "being yourself" and "showing yourself", and your personality looks for expression and form.

Fire gives warmth and the wish to create from within, without borrowed patterns. Leo sits in the middle of summer, and astrologers call the signs in the middle of a season fixed: they hold on to what has begun. You carry a chosen role or value with dignity and do not give it up under pressure. The Sun in its own sign is whole, and this is where your charisma and generosity come from, which help you warm and lead people. The other side of this strength is that your self-esteem is tied to recognition. The inner fire needs an audience, and under a confident look there is often a heart that is sensitive to praise. The risk here is mistaking admiration for love.

The risk for the Sun in Leo is treating the centre of attention as yours by right. When attention becomes fuel, a demand for admiration appears, and so does hurt when you feel undervalued, and creativity shrinks into showing yourself off. Here you draw confidence from what your work means to you, not from applause. You might keep one project you tell nobody about until it is ready. Or after a performance, first answer for yourself what went well, and only then read the reviews.
